My story
Meet Cindy! Cindy was named after one of our superstar volunteers! Cindy came in with her sister Kathy (pictured) and brother Mittens (not pictured) after being picked up as a stray by Animal Control. Cindy has been working on coming out of her shell both here at the shelter and in a foster home. She very much prefers the company of other cats or kittens to dogs and is on her way to becoming a great lap cat! If Cindy sounds like the purrfect kitten for you, contact BRHS to set up a time to come in and meet Cindy! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid. Adoptions will stop a half hour before we close, at 5:30pm M-F and 3:30pm Saturday.
